Anyone who saw “the Body” knows how excellent it was as storytelling, and how shattering as a personal event. (We need more television of that kind of quality; just not too often.) In “I Need to Know”, Chelle provides some small closure for said event, from the perspective of probably the only person who could do the job properly. As in practically all of my favorites, characterizations are well and accurately done, and it’s one of the few entirely-non-action fics I keep going back to read. I wish this story hadn’t been necessary … but since it was, I’m glad to have it.
