i-n-s

No Buffy-Angel angst. No apocalyptic cataclysms. No new menaces (or even new characters). So how does i-n-s, in “Winners”, create something unforgettable with only 1,200 razor-honed words? I wouldn’t have thought that possible, but there it is. Like Kamnikar’s “Threnody for Fallen Warriors”, this one can’t really be described; you just have to read it. “Two Ships Passing”, a piece almost equally brief (but somewhat less surreal) is also worth consideration.
