For years I cited “Threnody for Fallen Warriors” as being the single best Buffy story I had ever found anywhere, a small, nearly flawless gem. Praise is irrelevant, just read it. In decreasing order of stature, “Somewhere I Have Never Traveled”, “Maybe Later”, and “Ides of March” are also worth reading, as is a later work, “Visiting Hours”. Most of Kamnikar’s work is archived under her name in the fiction archives of the Sunnydale Slayers, but others — including stories dealing with other fandoms — can be found at a personal site, Chaos Horizon. [Note: several more stories can be found in “the Darkest Dawn”, a collaborative work by the Sunnydale Slayers, already reviewed on this list, but they should be read in context with the other stories.]
