These stories are a perplexity to me: I’m not even sure why I like them. They deal with a setting (Angel) that I normally avoid in my recommendations, with a suggested pairing (Angel and Kate) that I’ve never specifically opposed but for which I feel no particular enthusiasm, and exclusively with feelings rather than action or character development. Brief, open-ended, puzzling, and unsupported either by canon or by fandom. Yet I read them, and now and then I return to read them again. They intrigue me on a level I can’t identify or quantify. All by itself, that says something.
