“Let Me Count the Ways” does something I’ve never seen anyone else attempt, and does it well. I don’t want to give away the story to those who haven’t yet read it, but I was impressed by how well each segment focused on the individual personality and strengths/ weaknesses of its respective protagonist. My own “All Ye Who Enter” was written principally to fill a gap that Steele left, and I hope it can be considered a successful follow-up and tribute.
